Recently, it has been observed that the majority of pharmacies in the Samarkand region are undergoing renovations. This naturally raises the question: "What is the reason behind this?" To address this question, we reached out to Inspector Jasurjon Kushakov of the Samarkand Regional Branch of the "Center for Good Practices".
"In recent months, we have been conducting extensive work to implement GPP standardization. As a result, renovations are currently taking place in most pharmacies in the Samarkand region. Since the beginning of May alone, we have conducted informational lectures on obtaining GPP certification in the Urgut, Toylok, Jomboy, Chelak, Kattakurgan, and Narpay districts," stated Jasurjon Kushakov.
During our conversation, we also inquired about the issues troubling pharmacists in Samarkand. "During meetings, it was noted that remote areas of the region are experiencing disruptions in power supply, which hinders the proper functioning of pharmacies. In response, we provide recommendations on necessary technical provisions and analyze risks in this situation as required by GPP," the interviewee added.
It is worth mentioning that similar meetings are being held in various regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where pharmacy officials receive answers to their inquiries.
